Abbey of Mont Saint Michel Tickets

Mont Saint Michel tickets price ranges from 8 to 12 € or 710 to 1065 INR approx depending upon the type of ticket purchased and visiting duration. Standard tickets are priced at 11 € and entry is free for European Union’s citizens or French Permanent Residents.

You can purchase Abbey Mont Saint Michel tickets online in advance, or at the booking counter in physical mode during your visit. However, it is recommended to book online tickets in advance to avoid long queues at the booking counter.

Though it’s not mandatory to buy tickets to Mont Saint Michel Abbey in advance, you are advised to do so. It will help you get an easy booking during the peak season as per your preferences of day, date and time. 

The general tickets to Mont Saint Michel abbey for an adult ( above 18 ) cost 11 € or 975 INR approx. However some visitors are allowed a free visit including visitors from European Union countries, non-European residents of France, disabled persons along with their companies, and people with 6 months valid education pass. To offer prayers with the church an additional payment of 18 € or 1600 INR for an adult and 6 € or 533 INR for visitors between 7 to 17 years is required.

• By Train- Board the train from Paris with the destination of Pontorson station. Change a station at Rennes, and deboard at the Pontorson station, located on the bay of Mont St. Michel. The station is at a distance of 9 kilometres from the island. You may take a shuttle bus from Pontorson to reach Mont Saint Michel.
• Shuttle- The dedicated free shuttle service connects the island to the mainland. It operates between 7:30 AM to 8 PM and is accessible by wheelchairs as well. 
• Car- The route to Mont Saint Michel island is fully navigable by car, you can park a vehicle on the mainland at a parking lot. Take a short walk of 800 metres or board the dedicated shuttle to reach the island. 

A tour of the abbey may take 3 to 4 hours on average. However, visitors may spend their whole day at the island exploring its village, tasting its cuisines and performing several activities. Alongwith the abbey tour it’s suggested to spend some relaxing hours alongside the pathway during sunset. You will need to book Mont Saint Michel tickets for the abbey, however no reservations are required to visit the village.
