Must Know Before You Go for Palace of Versailles Tickets

  • It is mandatory for visitors to go through security checks in Château de Versailles. At peak times, there might be long lines for the security checks and may even reach outside.
  • In order to avoid visitors overlapping, the entrances and exits are separate and clearly marked at the Palace of Versailles and on the Trianon Estate.
  • Audio commentary is available in Chinese / English / Spanish / Russian / Portuguese / Japanese / German / Korean / French / Italian / Polish.
  • All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of arrival.
  • The Musical Fountains Shows take place every Saturday and Sunday and on public holidays (15 April, 14 July and 15 August) from Apr-Oct and every Tuesday from 3 May-28 Jun.
  • The Musical Gardens take place every Thursday and Friday from April to October, every Tuesday from 1-29 Apr and from 1 Jul-28 Oct and on Wednesdays from 1 Jul-31 Aug.
  • There are usually 2 lines at the Château de Versailles - one for buying the tickets and the other for security check. This ticket only allows you to skip the ticketing line but not the security check line.
  • Please note that the time slots may be subject to slight variations, and we will allocate a time slot available within a 30-minute window before or after your initial selection.
